The transition between Linux and MacOS is very easy. I never loved Windows and disliked W10, so as you may recall I used Linux. (Anyway, I figured 36 years between Macs was long enough. I've been buying a lot of new things lately to keep myself entertained since I'm travel-constrained due to covid-19. No regrets, it's an interesting machine, and quite capable for its modest price I was an early adopter, and bought direct from Apple. But I haven't been keeping up with the latest developments.ģ. I think the Sony is reporting its native resolution as FHD and the M1 Mini insists on believing it.Ģ. I had some thoughts of using it as a HTPC, but so far it looks like it can't output 3840x2160 andscale its output to my Sony TV it switches output to 1080p when I try. I don't love some aspects of the UI, but it's quite functional and I'd have no problems using it if/when I need to.ġ. I bought a M1 Mac Mini for technical curiosity I had no plans for regular use. Can PC software be run in emulation mode on the M1?.How are you coping with the transition from Windows to the Apple OS?.For long time PC users who bought an Apple M1:
